Novotel Sydney Darling Square is seeking a Demi Chef for a part-time maternity cover role to join our culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie and senior culinary team across buffet breakfasts, Pumphouse Bar and restaurant, in-room dining and function services.

Job Description

Working alongside our Head Chef you will be assisting our culinary team with daily operational aspects of the kitchen and related outlets from buffet breakfast to Pumphouse Bar and restaurant to in room dining and function services.

Qualifications

If you are adaptable and like working in a busy high-volume Kitchen then this is the team for you.

What We Are Looking For

• You will have commercial cookery qualification Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• You will work well in a team environment as well as autonomously.
• A genuine passion for cooking and developing your culinary skills.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with strong communication skills.
