Accor is offering a Demi Chef position at Novotel Sydney Darling Square for a 12-month maternity leave coverage. The role is part-time and based in Sydney's CBD, Darling Harbour, within a vibrant kitchen team.

You will support daily operations from breakfast buffet to bar and in-room dining, under the guidance of the Head Chef. You will prepare and present quality dishes, maintain food safety standards, follow recipes, manage portions, and help with stock rotation.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery required.
• Ability to work in a busy, high-volume kitchen and in a team.
• Genuine passion for cooking and culinary development.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong food safety, hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills.

Job Description

Working alongside our Head Chefyou will be assisting our culinary team with daily operational aspects of the kitchen and related outlets from buffet breakfast to Pumphouse Bar and restaurant to in room dining and function services.

What will you be doing:

• You will have commercial cookery qualification Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• You will work well in a team environment as well as autonomously.
• A genuine passion for cooking and developing your culinary skills.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with strong communication skills.
