Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager at multiple Delivery Stations in the Sydney area. You will lead a team of Shift Managers, drive daily operations, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and safely.

This role focuses on continuous improvement, staffing, forecasting, and coordinating with the Site Lead. You will report to the Site Lead and contribute to safety standards and performance metrics while collaborating with third-party providers to meet the customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Ability to work with schedule flexibility to cover weekend days.
• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience hiring and developing highly effective and diverse teams.
• Experience developing and managing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Shift Managers and their direct reports.
• Proxy duties for the Site Lead.
• Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the delivery station.
• Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
• Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence.
• Manage resource (manpower) plan and oversee shifts patterns managed by direct reports including hours booking and staff holiday management.
