Ampol Limited is seeking a Delivery Lead for Finance platforms, including SAP, to drive end-to-end SAP and ERP initiatives. The role focuses on planning, governance, risk management, and delivery excellence across finance systems and vendors.

You will partner with finance leaders, corporate stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure successful delivery while promoting agile, DevOps, and modern project management practices. A hybrid work arrangement is supported.

About the role:

The TDD Finance Delivery Lead is accountable for the leadership, planning, governance, and successful delivery of initiatives across Ampol's Finance platforms. The Delivery Lead connects platform priorities with operational and downstream demand ensuring visibility of dependencies, risks and decisions needing to be surfaced to ensure delivery commitments are achieved.

The Delivery Lead creates clear plans, healthy backlogs, disciplined execution and transparent reporting while removing impediments and strengthening team ways of working. The position will oversee the delivery lifecycle for Finance applications and platforms, including SAP and other enterprise systems, while driving delivery excellence through modern Agile, DevOps, and project management practices.

The role works closely with broad range of internal stakeholders across finance, corporate stakeholders, technology delivery teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading end-to-end delivery of Finance and ERP initiatives, with a strong focus on SAP
• Managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies across SAP and adjacent finance systems.
• Bringing a solid understanding of core SAP Finance processes and cross-module integration (Finance, Sales & Distribution, Procure-to-Pay, invoice-to-pay) to inform delivery decisions and risk calls.
• Overseeing rigorous testing across user, UAT, integration, and post-production phases, and monitoring delivery performance .
• Building trusted relationships with Finance leaders, business stakeholders, SAP vendors/system integrators, and technology teams, and facilitating alignment across senior and experienced stakeholder groups.
• Providing regular reporting and communication on delivery status, risks, financials, and key decisions.
• Leading, coaching, and developing delivery professionals to build a high-performing, engaged team, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Supporting operational excellence through effective transition to support, service management, and continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• SAP Expertise, with the credibility to lead a senior, experienced SAP team.
• Solid working knowledge of SAP Finance and its integration with other modules (e.g. Sales & Distribution, Procure-to-Pay), including how core processes flow end-to-end (invoice through to payment), plus experience delivering SAP upgrades or transformation programs, ideally including S/4HANA.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology delivery teams within a complex enterprise environment, including internal resources, external vendors, system integrators, and managed service providers.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with the judgement to know which fits a given SAP workstream.
• Experience managing budgets, roadmaps, risks, dependencies, issues, and delivery governance processes, ideally using Jira.
• Familiarity with structured testing approaches (user, UAT, integration, post-production/hypercare).
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and execution capabilities across multiple concurrent initiatives, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams.
