KBR in Australia is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the Integrated Air and Space Program Office (IASPO). You will apply systems engineering across the capability lifecycle to keep Defence systems safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

The role involves providing technical guidance, reviewing designs and contractor outputs, and collaborating with government, industry and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex defence capabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering qualification recognised in Australia.
• Experience applying systems engineering to Defence or aerospace programs.
• Knowledge of systems safety and hazard analysis.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and contractor deliverables.
• Strong governance, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Aufgaben

• Deliver systems engineering activities across the capability lifecycle, supporting development, integration and sustainment of complex Defence capabilities.
• Provide technical advice and engineering solutions to support project delivery, risk management and informed decision-making.
• Conduct systems safety activities, including hazard analyses, to ensure compliance with Defence engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Review technical documentation, engineering designs and contractor deliverables, providing recommendations to support quality and capability outcomes.
• Support engineering assurance activities by verifying delivered systems meet technical, operational and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Build strong relationships and communicate complex technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
