Job summary

Sydney KBR, Inc. on Garden Island, Sydney, seeks a System Specialist (Electrical, Platform, Combat Systems) to provide SME guidance across ship systems and lead baseline uplift activities.

You will drive alignment, resolve discrepancies, and advise on risk-based technical decisions to support project success. Essential qualifications include AQF Diploma or higher, Navy risk management experience, ITAR clearance eligibility, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• AQF Diploma or higher in a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent ADF qualification).
• Experience in Navy Technical Risk Management.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-level technical assurance across Platform, Combat Systems, or Electrical domains.
• Identify and resolve baseline misalignments using ILS/LSA principles.
• Support risk management activities including input to RPRs and PIRs.
• Collaborate with teams to reflect system intent and certification in updated products.
• Engage stakeholders as a trusted technical authority across concurrent workstreams.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships across the CLCM environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of baseline uplift processes and governance.
