Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking a System Specialist (Electrical, Platform, Combat Systems) to provide technical direction on a baseline uplift across LHD and AOR platforms. You will act as SME, resolve baselines, and advise on risk-based technical decisions.

The role requires AQF diploma or higher, Navy risk management experience, strong communication, and ITAR clearance eligibility. Baseline uplift work across disciplines with autonomy and accountability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Electrical, Platform, or Combat Systems within the Defence maritime domain.
• AQF Diploma or higher in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent ADF qualification.
• Experience in Navy Technical Risk Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-level technical assurance across Platform, Combat Systems, or Electrical domains.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve baseline misalignments applying ILS and LSA.
• Support technical risk management activities including input to RPRs and PIRs.
• Collaborate with project teams to reflect system intent and certification in updated products.
• Engage with stakeholders as a trusted technical authority and support reviews.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the CLCM environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of baseline uplift processes and governance.
