Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly organized Defence Capture Manager to lead major below-the-line service delivery opportunities. You will coordinate with business development, marketing, and technical teams to shape strategies and craft winning proposals in complex environments.

Reporting to the Growth and Strategy Group Director, you will drive end-to-end capture, applying Shipley-style disciplines to turn client needs into winning solutions, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field; APMP qualifications preferred.
• At least five years in capture and/or proposal management, preferably in defence.
• Experience applying Shipley-style capture methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication with win-theme development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full capture lifecycle from qualification to proposal submission.
• Develop and maintain capture plans with requirements, discriminators and win themes.
• Coordinate inputs across sales, delivery, engineering, legal and finance.
• Run structured colour-team reviews and translate findings into actions.
• Ensure compliance with Defence solicitation requirements and governance.
• Coach bid and proposal teams in Shipley-aligned practices.
