Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Proposals Operations Manager to drive high-impact, strategically aligned proposal plans. You will leverage industry insight and external networks to identify growth opportunities and partner with proposal specialists and BD managers to deliver customer-focused solutions.

You will report to the Growth and Strategy Group Director and collaborate with a team to ensure compelling, high-quality submissions that align with client evaluation criteria and win themes while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or industry qualifications awarded by professional bodies.
• Experience with international companies and international customers (Desirable).
• Experience with proposal planning, development, and post-submittal activities.
• Leadership: motivate, coach and lead dispersed teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Operational excellence mindset: detail oriented and organized.
• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance minimum.

Responsibilities

• Manage large Defence and National Security tenders across the Proposal Development Lifecycle.
• Lead Australian Government and Defence ASDEFCON proposals for high value opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive proposal plans aligned to the playbook and ensure readiness.
• Coordinate subject matter experts, authors and reviewers across disciplines.
• Chair kickoff meetings to align capture strategy, plan, and schedules.
• Guide and review storyboards to align responses with win themes and scoring.
• Oversee end-to-end proposal document production and ensure high-quality submissions.
• Govern and refine the review process with clear expectations and actionable feedback.
