Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead the identification, shaping, development and capture of strategic opportunities across the MFC portfolio in the region.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government stakeholders and industry partners, influence strategy and work with Lockheed Martin teams to win major bids in a complex, international environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development and capture management within defence or national security sectors.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with senior customers and government stakeholders.
• Commercially minded, strategic and able to operate in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of the MFC Australia and New Zealand business development and growth strategy within the BD team.
• Identify, assess and prioritise strategic business opportunities across defence and national security markets.
• Contribute to shaping and capture of major opportunities from early customer engagement to contract award.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior customers, government stakeholders, industry partners and internal stakeholders.
• Act as central point of contact for MFC strategy and BD activities across Australia and New Zealand.
• Drive collaboration across MFC Lines of Business and the broader Lockheed Martin organisation to maximise growth opportunities.
• Provide strategic assessments and recommendations to senior leadership on market opportunities, competitive positioning, risks and probability of success.
