Job summary

Officeworks is launching its largest Distribution Centre in Redbank, Queensland, and seeks a DC Systems Manager to lead the technical heartbeat of our supply chain. You will own WMS/WES/RCS performance, optimise workflows, and partner with external vendors to implement cutting-edge technology.

You bring 5+ years in high-velocity logistics, strong SQL and SAP exposure, and a track record in Lean/Six Sigma CI.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, modern warehousing, or a high-velocity logistics environment.
  • Proven exposure to Supply Chain systems alongside strong SQL skills.
  • Exposure to SAP is highly regarded.
  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational performance of the newly implemented WMS, WES, and RCS and optimise material and workflow logic.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Supply Chain CI, and Operations teams to map workflows and drive system enhancements.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and document operational system issues on the floor with the technology teams.

More About the Role

As our DC Systems Manager, you will be a proactive leader supporting the operations team in delivering results by keeping systems running efficiently. You will ensure that all on-site systems, interfaces, and workflows are managed and maintained to the highest levels.

From systems troubleshooting during Go-Live, to collaborating with external technology vendors, you will be the go-to technical partner.

Your Key Spheres of Influence:

  • System Optimisation: Own the operational performance of our newly implemented WMS, WES, and RCS and optimise material and workflow logic.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate closely with the Technology, Supply Chain CI, and Operations teams to map out business workflows and drive system enhancements.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Monitor, diagnose, and document operational system issues on the floor, working hand-in-hand with the broader technology teams.
About you

You are a self-starter who enjoys the challenge of solving complex puzzles in real-time and can present data in a highly logical way, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Your Professional Toolkit:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, modern warehousing, or a high-velocity logistics environment.

Systems Exposure: Proven exposure to Supply Chain systems alongside strong SQL skills (essential). Exposure to SAP is highly regarded.

Methodologies: Strong background in business workflow mapping and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

Education: Certificate I-IV or a Diploma/Degree (or equivalent industry experience) in Information Technology, Engineering or Supply Chain.

Key Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication, a strong troubleshooting aptitude, and the natural leadership skills to guide operations teams through tech-driven changes.
