Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited in North Queensland's Burdekin region seeks a Day Services Coordinator to coordinate Pioneer Mill fuel logistics, power generation, boiler chemical dosing, cogeneration operations and yard services.

The permanent role follows a day work roster and may require some weekend work and overtime. You will collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to implement maintenance programs and supervise yard services and bagasse handling.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant will ideally hold a Mechanical/Electrical trades qualification.
• Experience with power generation plant, maintenance and operations.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities including communication, negotiation and influencing.

Responsibilities

• Operations: Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to implement production and maintenance programs, while ensuring bagasse management and power generation strategies are followed.
• Yard Services: Supervise and coordinate yard services, including process cleaning, vegetation control, minor road maintenance and site amenities upkeep.
• Bagasse Management: Manage bagasse handling activities including stockpiling, reclaiming, transfers, quality control and record keeping.
• Contractor Management: Act as site liaison for contracted services such as mud and ash carting, bagasse logistics, stockpiling and fire system inspections.
• Health Safety and Environment: Promote a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant workplace.

As a Day Services Coordinator at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you’ll be responsible for coordinating Pioneer Mill based fuel logistics, power generation, boiler chemical dosing, cogeneration operations and yard services.

This position will be based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. Your Role in Action

• Operations: Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to develop and implement effective production and maintenance programs, whilst ensuring bagasse management and power generation strategies are executed.
• Yard Services: Supervise and coordinate yard services, including process cleaning, general vegetation control, minor road maintenance and the upkeep of site amenities.
• Bagasse Management: Manage bagasse handling operations including stockpiling, reclaiming, transfers, quality control, mobile plant coordination and record keeping.
• Contractor Management: Act as key site liaison for relevant contracted services such as mud and ash carting, bagasse logistics and stockpiling and fire system inspections.
• Health Safety and Environment: Promote and maintain a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant workplace

Your Winning Combination

The successful applicant will ideally hold a Mechanical/Electrical trades qualification. Have experience working with power generation plant, maintenance and operations. Be able to demonstrate leadership skills (e.g. strong communication, negotiation and influencing ability). Bonus points for applicants with sugar milling industry (not essential).
