Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is seeking a skilled Boilermaker for our Proserpine Mill in Queensland. This permanent full-time role focuses on fabricating and maintaining the cane rail network to support production and transport operations.

Expect a day-work roster with potential weekend work and overtime. The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, a current medium rigid truck licence (or willingness to obtain one), and a manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade is required.
• Current medium rigid truck licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Manual driver’s licence is required.
• Basic Rigger; Dogger HRWL certificates are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and modifications to rail infrastructure and general fabrication.
• Provide coaching and guidance to ensure safe working procedures.
• Identify scope of work, ensure work orders and permits are completed accurately and on time.
• Work within a team, inspect, identify problems and implement improvements to ensure quality.

Your Role in Action

• Keep Things Running Smoothly:Carrying out repairs and modifications to all rail infrastructure, including general fabrication
• Coach and Mentor:Provide guidance, active involvement and coaching in assisting to ensuring safe working procedures are achieved
• Scope Work:Assisting in the identification of the scope of work required, also ensure work orders, permits are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance and efficiency.
• Uphold Quality and Teamwork:Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, along with a current medium rigid truck licence (or willingness to obtain one), and a manual driver's license.
