Job summary

The College Of Intensive Care Medicine in Prahran, VIC is seeking a Data Reporting Analyst on a 12-month parental leave contract. You will analyse data needs, design dashboards, and deliver datasets to support strategic decisions and operational reporting across the organisation.

You will bring SQL expertise, Power BI proficiency and experience building data models and visualisations. A relevant degree and ability to work independently are essential; collaboration with cross-functional teams is

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Analyst or similar with a relevant degree.
• Proven ability to query and analyse data using SQL and data prep tools.
• Experience creating data models, measures, calculations and visualisations for reporting.
• Strong skills with Power BI and across enterprise data sources; familiarity with iMIS/IDMS/TopClass/Looker Studio.
• Ability to work autonomously with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams and ability to communicate to non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptable to changing priorities and learning new technologies.
• Team player who works well in a collaborative environment.

Data Reporting Analyst – Parental Leave Contract

The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is a leading professional organisation dedicated to advancing excellence in intensive care medicine through education, training, and professional development. The College of Intensive Care Medicine is seeking a Data Reporting Analyst to join our team.

This position is offered as a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months.

This role works closely with the organisation to analyse and establish data needs, deliver insightful datasets/reports/dashboards to enable decision making and promote data best practices to meet the College's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of data governance practices, including data quality standards, data definitions, documentation, and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with teams to develop, implement and educate on ICT data policies, processes and practices to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Design, develop and maintain reporting datasets, data models and associated documentation to support organisational reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements to establish and maintain a suite of reporting dashboards, datasets and visualisations, communicating data-driven insights, highlighting trends, patterns and insights for stakeholders to translate into data-driven outcomes.
• Identify and implement data delivery improvement opportunities, seeking to minimise data risks, improve structures and capturing mechanisms, and ensuring incremental data management process improvements.
• Maintain the data components of ICT service provision, responding to stakeholder application and data related queries.
• Contribute to the implementation, migration and decommissioning of applications and to support secure, high availability business continuity activities, documentation, and reporting.

You will bring

• Experience as a Data Analyst or similar coupled with a relevant degree.
• Demonstrated experience querying and analysing data using SQL and other data preparation tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining data models, measures, calculations and visualisations to support effective reporting, analytics and business decision-making.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools, including Power BI, with experience working across enterprise applications and data sources. Experience with iMIS, IDMS, TopClass, Google Looker Studio and Microsoft 365 applications is highly desirable. Exposure to Jira Service Management would be advantageous.
• The ability to autonomously deliver your work, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to translate complex data into meaningful insights, whilst always maintaining keen attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and integrity.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating information to non-technical stakeholders with a focus on service to these teams.
• Adaptability to manage competing work and to easily learn new processes and technologies.
• A team player can work effectively as part of a team and relate effectively to professionals.
