The Royal Melbourne Hospital – Parkville VIC

Join the Health Intelligence team and use your technical and analytical expertise to turn complex data into trusted insights that support better decision‑making across the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Reporting to the Director Health Intelligence, you will develop and support data solutions across clinical, operational and corporate domains. Working across multiple source systems, you will combine business intelligence development with data analysis to deliver reliable reporting, dashboards, insights and data product.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with business users, Health Intelligence, Digital Innovation teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver suitable data solutions.
• Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, analytical products and data models that support reliable reporting and decision‑making.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes, data integration solutions and automated data pipelines across multiple source systems.
• Validate, reconcile and test data to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency, investigating and resolving data quality issues.
• Respond to ad hoc information requests and translate complex data into meaningful insights.

About You

• Minimum 5 years' experience in business intelligence working with complex data warehouse environments, including dimensional modelling.
• Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into data models, reports, dashboards and analytical solutions.
• Advanced SQL development and database design skills, including extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SSMS, SSIS and SSAS).
• Experience with Power BI and Paginated Reports, together with proven experience developing ETL processes and automated data pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to investigate and resolve complex data quality issues.
