Job summary

Purestorage is seeking a seasoned Consulting Systems Engineer to lead pre-sales efforts for data management solutions across cloud, on-premises, and edge environments. The role emphasizes strategic discovery, solution architecture, and executive-ready demonstrations to accelerate complex enterprise deals.

You will collaborate across Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Customer Success, and channel partners to align market needs with product direction and measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor to enterprise customers and partners throughout the sales process.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand environments, drivers, security challenges, compliance, and decision processes.
• Architect and deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and executive briefings tailored to customer outcomes.
• Design and manage POC engagements with measurable business value and adoption.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop technical sales strategies for complex enterprise cycles.
• Connect technology solutions to measurable customer outcomes, including validation and TCO considerations.
• Contribute to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs and deliver partner enablement and training.
