Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Data Governance Lead to establish and mature a BDA-wide data governance program in Brisbane. You will foster data quality, security and value across business units, working with IT, legal/compliance and operations.

The role requires 5+ years in data governance, strong stakeholder management, and clear communication. Hybrid work with some travel is available, and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in data governance or related roles.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data lifecycle.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maturation of BDA's data governance framework.
• Establish policies, standards, procedures and governance framework.
• Coordinate governance forums, training and awareness activities.
• Monitor data governance progress, metrics and KPIs.
• Engage data owners and data stewards across departments.
• Advise on data risks, issues and escalations.
• Promote data governance literacy across the organization.
