Ferocia in Melbourne is seeking a Data Governance Implementation Lead to bridge technology, data governance and risk. You’ll map domains, profile assets, define CDEs, trace data lineage and implement data quality frameworks.

This hands-on leadership role partners with Data Custodians, Lead Data Stewards and Business System Owners in the Up division. It’s a 12-month fixed-term, full-time, mostly onsite in our Melbourne CBD office.

Formación

• At least 3+ years hands-on experience in data/analyst/engineering roles that improved data governance.
• Knowledge of data domains, CDE identification, metadata management and lineage mapping.
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and maturity models (DCAM or similar).
• Strong communication translating complex technical concepts for senior audiences, including risk specialists.
• Regulatory familiarity with data/privacy regulations is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary liaison between data teams, senior leadership, and custodians to improve data governance practices.
• Advise and support data custodians and stewards on day-to-day responsibilities.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to establish a governance operating model within the division.
• Define, map, and maintain data domains and sub-domains; lead asset profiling initiatives and catalog metadata, classifications, lifecycle rules and context.
• Identify, define, and maintain Critical Data Elements (CDEs) essential for operations, regulatory reporting and analytics.
• Analyse and document end-to-end data lineage for CDEs from source systems to consuming reports and APIs.
• Define requirements for Data Quality metrics including profiling rules and dashboards.
• Lead root-cause analysis on data issues and collaborate on permanent remediation solutions.
• Translate governance policies into technical specs, systems and processes.
• Identify governance gaps, operational risks and bottlenecks; support rollout of governance platforms (Collibra).
