Job summary

Ferocia is hiring a Data Governance Implementation Lead for our Melbourne CBD office. This 12-month, fixed-term role is mostly onsite, bridging technology, governance, and risk management to operationalise governance across the Digital Division.

You will map domains, profile assets, trace data lineage, and implement data quality frameworks while collaborating with data custodians, stewards and system owners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on data governance/engineering experience, ideally in banking or fintech.
• Technical leadership in data domains, metadata management, lineage, and data quality.
• Fluent in SQL for profiling; familiarity with data modelling and governance tools such as Collibra.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between data teams, leadership, custodians and SMEs to improve governance.
• Advise data custodians and stewards on day-to-day responsibilities.
• Lead cross-functional workshops to define a governance operating model.
• Map data domains, profile assets, define CDEs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document end-to-end data lineage and define data quality metrics and dashboards.
• Translate governance policies into technical specs; identify and remediate gaps.
