Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is hiring a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician in Australia. You will oversee critical infrastructure, including diesel generators, UPS, cooling systems and building automation, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.

You will develop hands-on expertise across electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot real-time issues, and work with engineers, security, and operations leaders to maintain world-class facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school) is preferred.
• Valid and active Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Review routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems (switch gear, generators, UPS, PDP, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC, building monitoring).
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on facility operations and maintenance.
• Help with design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
• Create and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
• Manage facility assets and infrastructure & inventory asset management.
• Oversee on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring adherence to standards and local legislation.
• Coordinate with leadership to optimize safety, performance, reliability and efficiency of plant operations.
