Job summary

Talent Partnership is seeking an on-site Electrical/Facilities Technician to manage maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and fire systems in a data centre environment in Sydney. You will supervise preventative maintenance, respond to alerts, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure continuous operations.

The role requires a trade background in electrical or HVAC, familiarity with BMS/EMS and CMMS, and a willingness to work a 24/7 shift roster with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Trade background in electrical or HVAC.
• Data centre exposure is a plus but not essential.
• Comfort with rotating 24/7 shift roster and on-call availability.
• Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Familiarity with a CMMS for logging and tracking maintenance work.
• First Aid qualification.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating preventative maintenance across mechanical, electrical and fire equipment.
• Managing critical infrastructure to guarantee continuity of services with no disruption to operations.
• Using electronic monitoring systems to track site conditions and review generator reports.
• Acting as primary technical troubleshooter for critical services issues.
• Conducting daily site reviews and regular testing of technical services infrastructure.
• Responding to service requests and emergency faults, repairing systems or coordinating with suppliers.
• Logging maintenance reports into the CMMS and following up on issues.
• Enforcing safe work practices in line with policy and standards.
• Providing leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
