Job summary

Westpac Bank is seeking a hands-on electrical or HVAC tradesperson to join our 24x7 data centre operations team, responsible for ensuring no unplanned downtime of critical building services and operating all building systems, including Diesel Generator, DRUPS, UPS, BMS, Fire, Cooling Tower, Chiller, and HVAC plant.

The role covers 38 hours over a 6-week roster with an attractive remuneration package and strong team engagement.

Qualifications

Electrical or HVAC trade qualifications required.
Fault-finding ability essential.
Experience in data centres or critical environments preferred.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team as well as independently.

Responsibilities

Manage site operations to ensure no unplanned downtime of critical building services.
Monitor and operate all building systems and plant.
Manage contractors on site including inductions, permits, SWMS reviews and compliance.
Carry out complex switching operations.
Isolate equipment to create a safe work environment using lockout/tagout procedures.
Conduct load reviews and prepare reports.
Ensure building complies with statutory obligations and safety regulations.
