Data Center Technician – 12-Hour Rotating Shifts

Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician in Sydney to deliver maintenance and exceptional client service at a single data center site. You will perform planned and reactive tasks, monitor critical systems, and assist during emergencies while upholding health and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL: electrical license and certified electrotechnology training, plus experience with CMMS/BMS and managing contractor work. This on-site role requires a strong customer focus and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining critical & temperature controlled environments.
• Understanding of electrical & mechanical data center systems.
• Able to manage escalations and coordinate with subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% uptime with safety and risk controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HV, LV, HVAC systems.
• Monitor UPS, PDU, switchgear, generators and fire systems.
• Analyze faults, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Prepare service reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support emergency rosters and on-site client liaison.
