Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer with experience in critical facilities management to sustain availability, manage costs, assess risks, and report metrics. You will interface with a diverse team across AWS to maintain safety, security, and high uptime across data centers.

The role reports to the DCEO Manager and requires on-site presence. You will manage maintenance and incidents, drive efficiency projects, and collaborate with IT managers

Formación

• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment experience.
• Experience in vendor management.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake and support management of routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC units, building monitoring, fire systems.
• Install new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling.
• On-site management of contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with practices and local legislation.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data and document all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance; manage assets.
• Generate change and incident tickets for facility events and assist in resolution of infra engineering issues.
• Collaborate with data center IT managers to coordinate day-to-day operations, manage capacity and optimize safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Drive and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability; assist in design, commissioning and build-out of new data centers.
