Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers and networking systems. The Network Development Engineer III will define technical frameworks for DC Build, refresh, and turndown programs and drive automation to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Automation scripting experience with Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical framework and metrics for DC Life Cycle (DCLC) programs like DC Build, DC refresh and turndown.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, test, and execute network refresh and decommission plans.
• Coordinate with network and infrastructure teams to ensure project success and safe operations with no customer traffic impact.
• Define and implement automations required for the programs to improve efficiency and reliability.
