Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will help build, deploy and scale the networks that support AWS, customers and other business units across global datacenters.

You will collaborate with software, hardware and security teams, drive network projects, and implement sustainable, repeatable solutions while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability across our data centers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.
• Experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at a higher volume.
• Lead network projects in the areas of network sustaining engineering, deployment/implementation, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS networks for significant customers by diagnosing, mitigating impact, and resolving large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues; including Unix systems and networking tools.
• Collaborate with the wider Network/Infrastructure teams to ensure fast roll-out of new designs and products.
