Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer III to join the Data Center Life Cycle (DCLC) team. You will define frameworks, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and implement automations to refresh or decommission data center networks while ensuring no impact to customer traffic.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
• 4+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical framework and metrics for DCLC programs like DC Build, DC refresh and turndown, track them, and tune/optimize the processes when required.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, test, and execute the technical processes required to refresh the network of a data center and to turn down the network of a data center to be exited.
• Execute these processes in concrete projects and coordinate impacted network and infrastructure teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure operational excellence, namely that all activities are done safely with no impact to customer traffic.
• Define and implement automations required for the programs.
