Job summary

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks a Business Analyst - Data and Analytics in Parramatta, offering a base salary of A$116,981 to A$129,492 plus superannuation. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on delivering high-quality reporting, data flows, and analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

You will engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, translate complex information, and support project planning, testing, and training to enhance service delivery

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyse systems, processes and data flows to define reporting needs.
• Experience documenting business requirements and reporting artefacts.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting project planning, testing and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities to identify opportunities for improving systems, processes, and workflows across the organisation.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements to support the delivery of effective reporting solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, provide insights, and drive informed decision‑making.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives by supporting project planning, change management, implementation, testing, and training activities.
• Monitor and evaluate business analysis outcomes, recommending continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, practical documentation for non-technical audiences.
