Job summary

The NSW Government's Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is seeking a Business Analyst - Data and Analytics in Parramatta. This hybrid, full-time role (35 HPW) supports high-quality reporting and analytics for the Courts, Tribunals and Service Delivery division, gathering requirements and improving data flows to inform decisions.

• Ongoing - Full-Time (35 HPW)
• Clerk Grade 7/8, base salary ($116,981 - $129,492), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

As a Business Analyst - Data and Analytics, you will support the delivery of high-quality reporting and analytics services for the Courts, Tribunals and Service Delivery division by working with stakeholders to understand work processes, business needs and information requirements. You will gather and document reporting requirements, improve reporting processes and data flows, contributing to the development of reporting solutions that help inform decision-making, support performance monitoring, and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Lead business analysis activities to identify opportunities for improving systems, processes, and workflows across the organisation.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements to support the delivery of effective reporting solutions.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, provide insights, and drive informed decision-making.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives by supporting project planning, change management, implementation, testing, and training activities.
• Monitor and evaluate business analysis outcomes, recommending continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, practical documentation that can be easily understood by non-technical audiences.
