Job summary

Lake Imaging in Geelong is seeking a full-time Data Administrator/Medical Receptionist for the BreastScreen Service. You will greet patients, manage calls and maintain BreastScreen results with accuracy in a busy radiology setting.

Ideal candidates have medical administration exposure, strong attention to detail, and excellent keyboard skills for RIS data entry, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive team. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Medical administration exposure required or preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to support patient care with empathy.
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology helpful.
• Attention to detail in data handling and recordkeeping.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Accurate and efficient data entry into RIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice when meeting patients.
• Answer incoming calls in a proficient, timely and welcoming manner.
• Quality check and process client and clinical information.
• Timely provision of BreastScreen results.
• Process, file and retrieve confidential data from screening sites.
• Image transfer to referring doctors and specialists.
• BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).

We are seeking a full time Data Administrator/Medical Receptionist to work at our BreastScreen Service in Geelong.

About Us

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002 , has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria , with more than 19 clinics providing a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics, and specialty centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

As the face of the company you will be providing high standards of services to our patients by maintaining accurate BreastScreen results and information that makes a difference in the most common cancer among females and the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.

• Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients.
• Answering incoming calls in a proficient, timely and professionally welcoming manner.
• Quality checking and processing of client and clinical information.
• Timely provision of BreastScreen results.
• Process, file and retrieval of confidential data generated by screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications - BSV specific work).
• Image transfer to referring Doctor's and specialists.
• BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).
