Job summary

Lake Imaging is seeking a full-time Data Administrator/Medical Receptionist for its BreastScreen service in Geelong. The role involves welcoming patients, handling calls, and processing clinical information with accuracy. Training is provided for BreastScreen typing and data handling.

You will contribute to timely BreastScreen results and support image transfers to referring doctors, while maintaining confidentiality in a busy radiology environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical administration is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology is beneficial.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and represent the clinic as the first point of contact.
• Answer incoming calls professionally and promptly.
• Quality check and process patient and clinical information.
• Provide BreastScreen results in a timely manner.
• Manage confidential data from screening sites and image transfers.
• Perform BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).
• Support a team with autonomous and collaborative work.

We are seeking a full time Data Administrator/Medical Receptionist to work at our BreastScreen Service in Geelong.

ABOUT US

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002 , has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria , with more than 19 clinics providing a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics, and specialty centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

As the face of the company you will be providing high standards of services to our patients by maintaining accurate BreastScreen results and information that makes a difference in the most common cancer among females and the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.

• Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients.
• Answering incoming calls in a proficient, timely and professionally welcoming manner.
• Quality checking and processing of client and clinical information.
• Timely provision of BreastScreen results.
• Process, file and retrieval of confidential data generated by screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications - BSV specific work).
• Image transfer to referring Doctor’s and specialists.
• BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).
