Randstad is partnering with a market-leading building materials and logistics company in Norwest to recruit a Customer Service Scheduler. The role blends live dispatch with customer engagement to ensure trucks reach sites safely and on time.

The 3-month temp contract offers a pathway to permanency, with hybrid flexibility and onsite parking. Salary is $38.89/hr plus super and occasional OT, with standard Monday–Friday hours and rotating weekend coverage.

About the Job

As a Customer Service Scheduler, you will be the heartbeat of day-to-day dispatch operations. You'll blend live scheduling strategy with engaging customer connection, ensuring the right trucks get to the right sites safely, efficiently, and on time.

• Rate: $38.89/hr + Super (~9-10 hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM/7:30 AM).
• Type: 3-month temp contract with a strong view to go permanent.
• Location: Norwest (free onsite parking).
• Hours: Monday to Friday (finish by 4:00/4:30 PM) plus rotating Saturday coverage (4-5 hours, finishing by 12:00 PM).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage morning order inflows, review site inventory, and match supply with customer demand.
• Live-allocate fleet vehicles, calculating load times and transit routes to keep deliveries seamlessly on track.
• Build positive, resilient relationships on the phone with site engineers, drivers, and internal account teams.
• Maximise truck utilisation to balance top-tier service with cost-effective operations.
• Proactively navigate real-time delivery changes with a sharp, clear, and solutions-focused approach.

About You

We are looking for an intuitive communicator who brings a blend of sharp analytical thinking and warm interpersonal flair. Whether your background is in transport, 3PL, pre-mix concrete, or fast-paced logistics, your ability to think on your feet will make you stand out.

• Experience: Previous background in dispatch, allocation, or scheduling paired with customer service (40/60 mix).
• Skills: Comfortable with G-Suite/Excel and quick to pick up specialised dispatch systems.
• Mindset: A decisive problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and speaks comfortably with people from all walks of life—from truck drivers to site engineers.
• Knowledge: Good geographical understanding of Greater Sydney is a huge bonus.
