Job summary

The Capricornian Bank is expanding into Mackay and seeking a full-time Customer Service Officer to help establish our new branch. You’ll assist customers in-branch and over the phone with a wide range of everyday banking needs, from deposits to account enquiries, building relationships and ensuring a smooth customer experience.

No banking experience is required; we value a positive, customer-focused attitude, strong communication, and a willingness to learn about banking products and regulatory

Qualifications

• No banking experience required; right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer-service mindset.
• Comfort with numbers and using banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with everyday banking needs in branch and over the phone.
• Open accounts and memberships, manage customer details, and assist with term deposits.
• Listen to customers, answer questions and connect them with specialised help.
• Build relationships by checking in with customers and understanding their needs.
• Support customers with banking products including insurance, and connect with lending and specialist teams.
• Contribute to day-to-day branch operations as part of a supportive team.
