About Us
At The Capricornian Bank, we believe banking is more than transactions. It's about people.
We're a customer-owned bank, created by locals for locals, and we've been supporting Central Queensland communities for more than 65 years. Our team helps customers with the everyday things that matter, from setting up their first account to managing their money, protecting what they own and reaching their financial goals.
We're looking for a Customer Service Officer (CSO) to join our frontline team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, wants to build their skills and is looking for a career with genuine opportunities to grow.
What you'll do
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be one of the friendly faces and voices of The Capricornian Bank. You'll help customers in branch and over the phone with a wide range of everyday banking needs.
About you
You don't need years of banking experience to be successful in this role. We're looking for the right attitude, a willingness to learn and someone who genuinely enjoys helping people.
You'll bring:
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service or cash handling would be an advantage, but it's not essential.
If you have experience in financial services and hold an ASIC Tier II Accreditation, that's great. If not, we're happy to support the right person to gain the skills and qualifications they need.
Where can this role take you?
This is more than a job behind a bank counter.
A Customer Service Officer is often the starting point for a rewarding career in financial services. As you build your knowledge and confidence, there are opportunities to develop into areas such as lending, customer relationship management, financial crimes, leadership and other specialist roles.
We'll support you to build your skills and discover where your career can take you.
What we offer you
When you join The Capricornian Bank, you'll be part of a team that values its people and its community.
