Job summary

The Capricornian Bank is expanding into Mackay, and we are seeking a full-time Customer Service Officer to help establish our new Mackay branch. You will be the friendly face in branch and over the phone, assisting customers with everyday banking needs and building local relationships.

We value a positive, customer-focused attitude and a willingness to learn. Training will be provided, and you will join a supportive team dedicated to helping people achieve their financial goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Helping customers with everyday banking, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cards and account enquiries.
• Opening new accounts and memberships, managing customer details and assisting with term deposits.
• Listening to customers, answering their questions and finding solutions or connecting them with the right person when they need more specialised help.
• Building strong customer relationships by checking in with customers and understanding how we can better support their needs.
• Supporting customers with banking products and services, including insurance, while identifying opportunities to connect them with our lending and specialist teams.
• Working as part of a supportive team and helping with the day-day operation of the branch.

As part of this expansion, we are seeking a full-time Customer Service Officer to join the team and help establish our new Mackay branch. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the success of a brand-new branch, helping to create a welcoming environment for customers while building strong local relationships.

What you'll be doing

As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be one of the friendly faces and voices of The Capricornian Bank. You'll help customers in branch and over the phone with a wide range of everyday banking needs.

About You

You don't need years of banking experience to be successful in this role. We're looking for the right attitude, a willingness to learn and someone who genuinely enjoys helping people.
