Job summary

PERSOL is seeking dedicated Customer Service Officers to support Randwick Racecourse race days from September to November. Roles include operating wagering terminals or overseeing EBT machines, with training days paid prior to race days.

You will greet customers, handle cash, resolve inquiries, and uphold safety and inclusivity. This is a weekend-focused, on-site assignment with multiple Saturday dates available.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Experience in customer service is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to commit to training and all race dates.

Job description

We are looking for dedicated Customer Service Officers (Operator and Concierge) to support various race days in Randwick Racecourse between September and November. We have multiple Saturday dates available.

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating wagering terminals or overseeing EBT machines. This is NOT a food and beverage assignment.

You will need to pass (1) Fit To Work background check and (2) TAB compliance trainings (online) as required for this role. You will also need to attend in-person training days (paid) prior to the actual race days.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Operate wagering terminals and 'standalone' EBT machines
• Oversee cash handling procedures and reconciliation
• Resolve customer inquiries and issues
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
• Promote a safe and inclusive environment for customers and colleagues

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Must be over the age of 18
• Previous experience in customer service or a similar role (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in operating wagering terminals and EBT machines is an asset (desirable)
• Knowledge of responsible gambling practices is (preferred)
• Be able to commit to all training and actual race dates
