Job summary

The Australian Turf Club is seeking a security professional to uphold a safe environment across ATC venues, operating on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating roster with day and night shifts. You will monitor compliance, run CCTV and access control, and respond to incidents with professional customer service.

Role requires NSW Security licence 1ACE, a valid driver’s license, First Aid, RSA, and strong reporting skills; collaborative work with internal/external teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience in a similar environment.
• Hold NSW Security licence 1ACE and a valid driver’s license.
• Current First Aid and RSA certificates are required.
• Proven ability to report clearly and use basic computer systems.
• RSA compliance and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Work a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating roster, day and night shifts.
• Monitor race day operations and ensure policy, RSA, and regulatory compliance.
• Operate CCTV, access control, alarms and related security systems.
• Conduct patrols to maintain a safe environment across ATC venues.
• Respond to alarms/incidents and complete accurate incident reports.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and participate in drills.
• Administer site inductions and manage access for staff and contractors.
• Provide professional customer service to patrons and staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on security ops.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

LIFE IN THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Security Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring a safe and secure corporate and public environment. This will include upholding and administering compliance, security applications and accesses, safety, emergency response and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work a 4 days on / 4 days off rotating roster, including day and night shifts.
• Monitor race day operations to ensure compliance with Club policies, RSA requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Operate and administer security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and security access processes.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment across ATC venues.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and identified hazards, completing accurate reports as required.
• Support emergency preparedness activities and participate in emergency response drills and incidents.
• Administer employee and contractor OHS inductions and authorised site access.
• Provide professional customer service and assist patrons, members, contractors, and staff with enquiries.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support race day and event security operations.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required.
