Job summary

Coates in Albert Park, Adelaide, is seeking a customer-focused team member for a Permanent Full-Time role. You will be the first point of contact, delivering equipment solutions and supporting a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person, on the phone or via email.
• Prepare hire schedules, quotes and invoices.
• Coordinate deliveries, transfers, pickups and repairs; liaise with workshop.
• Support load-out and yard tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with suppliers to meet customer requirements.

• Monday to Friday + alternating roster (7am–3pm / 9am–5pm)

As the first point of contact for customers at our Albert Park branch, your number one goal is to ensure our customers receive the best possible service with their equipment solutions, while contributing to a reliable and high-performing team.

This role offers variety and on the job learning supported by a collaborative and experienced team. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, delivering solutions and thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:

• Supporting customers in person, over the phone and via email
• Preparing hire schedules, quotes, and invoicing
• Allocating equipment and liaising with the workshop
• Coordinating deliveries, transfers, pick-ups, repairs and breakdowns
• Occasionally assisting in the yard with loading equipment
• Liaising with suppliers to support customer needs

What You Will Bring

• Experience in a customer-facing high-volume environments
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to learn and understand technical information
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities proactively and professionally

An interest in construction, mining, or engineering is a bonus—we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed in equipment hire.
