Job summary

Recycle Central, part of the IWS Group, is seeking a Customer Service & Bookings Agent to join our team in Kurri Kurri, NSW. The role involves handling inbound calls, responding to emails, and coordinating bookings with accuracy, plus weighbridge relief during leave periods.

You will work a full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule, 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm, with options such as 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm. Training provided on WasteEdge and related processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, bookings or a high-volume call centre environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Calm and solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the waste management or recycling industry is highly desirable.
• Experience working within the building and construction industry would be advantageous.
• Weighbridge experience is highly desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.
• Retail customer service experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of inbound customer phone calls and enquiries.
• Respond to customer enquiries via email.
• Process and coordinate customer bookings.
• Work closely with the Allocations team to ensure bookings are scheduled and managed effectively.
• Provide accurate and timely information to customers.
• Maintain accurate booking and customer records.
• Use Excel to manage, track and organise information.
• Provide weighbridge relief during team members’ annual leave and sick leave.
• Learn and use the WasteEdge platform with full training.
• Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail across bookings and interactions.
• Support the wider team with general administrative and customer service duties.
