Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling at the Wetherill Park site is seeking a Weighbridge Operator reporting to the Branch Manager.

You will accurately weigh incoming scrap, process payments, enter data, and verify documentation to support safe, compliant operations.

Full training is provided; previous weighbridge experience is not essential; join a team with a strong safety culture and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in admin/weighbridge operations or willingness to learn
• Understanding of relevant chain of responsibility (COR), desirable
• Understanding of HR & MC Vehicle configurations, desirable
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic, reliable and a positive can-do attitude
• Genuine commitment to safety by consistently displaying behaviours aligned with safe work practices

Responsibilities

• Accurately record vehicle weights and material types, ensuring all documentation is completed and driver signatures are obtained
• Process payments and manage account transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate with transport operators onsite and manage all weighbridge functions safely and effectively
• Verify that all drivers entering and exiting the site hold the correct documentation
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Inspect incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licence conditions and approved waste types
• Process delivery notes and tickets with precision and in a timely manner
• Communicate site rules clearly to weighbridge customers and provide guidance to ensure safe and compliant operations

Job description

Based at our Wetherill Park site and reporting to the Branch Manager, the Weighbridge Operator, will play a vital role in customer service, data processing, and vehicle weighing. You will accurately weigh incoming scrap, prepare receipt documentation for customers and suppliers, and complete data entry in accordance with vendor payment procedures and InfraBuild Recycling policies.

Full training will be provided and previous weighbridge experience is not essential.

What you will be doing:

• Accurately record vehicle weights and material types, ensuring all documentation is completed and driver signatures are obtained
• Process payments and manage account transactions with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate with transport operators onsite and manage all weighbridge functions safely and effectively
