Job summary

Avis Budget Group Cairns City is hiring for a casual role at our rental counter. You will greet customers, process bookings, and answer inquiries while representing the Avis brand.

You will work 3-4 days per week, hold a full and valid Australian driver’s license, and complete comprehensive training. The role includes vehicle cleaning, inspections, and access to staff parking.

Qualifications

• Full and valid Australian driver’s license is required.
• Availability to work 3–4 days per week on a rotating roster.
• Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service.
• Comfortable using computer systems to manage bookings and rental information.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers face-to-face and promote the Avis Budget Group brand at the rental counter.
• Complete rental transactions, contracts and bookings.
• Clean the interior and exterior of vehicles according to company standards.
• Inspect vehicles for any pre-existing or new damages from previous rentals.

About the Role

In this role you will be the face of our brand! You’ll interact with our customers at the rental counter, complete rental bookings and responding to general customer inquiries.

What you’ll do

• Interact with our customers face to face, promoting the Avis Budget Group brand
• Completing rental transactions, contracts and bookings
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles according to company standards
• Inspecting vehicles for any damages that occurred during the previous rentals

What We’re Looking For:

• Afull and valid Australian driver’s licence
• Availability to work on a rotating roster across 3-4 days per week
