Job summary

Doors Plus in Sydney is seeking a warm, empathetic receptionist with excellent communication skills to warmly welcome customers and handle inquiries. The role requires professional written communication, strong phone system competence, and proficient Microsoft Office use, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a calm and helpful customer experience in a busy store environment. Training is provided onsite.

Doors Plus is an Australian owned company which has been in operation since 1989. We currently have 23 stores located across Australia and are the largest seller of retail doors in the country. We are well known for our No Fuss! brand and are considered an industry leader in the home renovation door market.

This role requires:

• Someone who has excellent verbal communication skills, clarity of speech, and professional written manner for both in house and customer correspondence.
• Confidence with phone systems - headsets, using hold, and transferring calls etc.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
• The ability to communicate details via email or other platform while actively listening and engaging with a customer.
• A person who excels in time management and can distinguish priority tasks.

About you:

• We prefer a person with at least one years' experience in reception
• We are looking for a warm and empathetic person, who wants the best for their customers
• We would like a calm person who is confident with handling intense discussions
• We need someone who can work both individually and within a team environment
• We would like someone who finds satisfaction in an active work environment and will proactively seek tasks during slower periods
