Job summary

icare is seeking a Client Advisor to join the CTP Care team in NSW. You will manage a portfolio of treatment and care claims, review medical information, and coordinate services to support recovery goals in a person-centred way.

You will work with clients, health professionals and insurers to determine appropriate treatment and care within legislative guidelines, building relationships and communicating decisions clearly and sensitively.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in personal injury claims.
• Experience identifying, reviewing and coordinating services for people with chronic injury or disability.
• Strong critical reasoning and ability to interpret complex information.
• Ability to explain treatment and care decisions clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience managing a caseload using a case management system.
• Understanding of Motor Accident Guidelines and the NSW CTP scheme.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of treatment and care claims and identify ongoing needs and risks.
• Review and interpret medical and claims information to determine appropriate treatment and care.
• Decide on reasonable and necessary treatment and care within legislative and financial delegations.
• Coordinate services to support clients toward Recovery Plan goals.
• Collaborate with clients, health professionals, service providers and internal specialists.
• Communicate decisions clearly and sensitively, including in complex conversations.
• Identify complex cases and work with Injury Management Specialists and Team Leader to determine approach.
