Job summary

Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering cruise line, seeking an experienced Chef to manage the galley on board our small expedition ships and ensure timely delivery of quality meals to guests and crew as per the menu plan.

The role requires at least 3 years in a commercial kitchen, strong food cost control, and excellent presentation. You will work in a small team at sea, upholding food safety and outstanding guest service.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
• First Aid & CPR.
• Passport.
• Willing to obtain AMSA CoST, Ocean/Seafarer credentials, and related safety certificates.

Responsibilities

• Manage the galley efficiently to deliver quality meals to guests and crew as per the menu plan.
• Maintain food cost, portions and presentation.
• Uphold high levels of guest and crew service.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen/galley operations.
• Maintain food safety and consistency.
• Demonstrate safe working practices.
• Adapt to living and working in a small vessel for extended periods.
