Job summary

Coral Expeditions in Australia seeks a Chief Officer to join our expedition cruise ships. You will work closely with the Master and Chief Engineer to ensure passenger safety, vessel integrity and crew welfare.

Qualifications

• Proven deck experience on passenger ships
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent personal presentation
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• High level of customer service
• Passionate about the Marine environment
• Proven record in managing a team
• Experience with ship inventory systems (HELM) is a plus
• Knowledge of ISM safety management systems
• Experience in ship inventory and stock take procedures
• Demonstrated safe working practices mindset

Responsibilities

• Support the Master and Chief Engineer to ensure vessel safety
• Lead a competent crew and promote safety awareness
• Maintain high standards of customer service on board
• Oversee inventory control and stock checks
• Collaborate with operations for smooth voyages
