Job summary

Lifeline Australia seeks an In-Shift Support Supervisor to help oversee Digital Service Crisis Supporters (CS) and boost service performance 24/7. You will monitor, support, and coordinate CSs during shifts, covering breaks and debriefing after critical events.

Responsibilities include real time feedback, emergency interventions, and proactive guidance via instant messaging. Requires crisis support experience and training commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 100 hours as Lifeline Digital Services Crisis Supporter with strong crisis support skills.
• Understanding of reflective practice and debrief techniques in crisis support.
• Willingness to complete LLA training including coaching and ISS training.
• Education in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology or allied health field (2 years post accreditation desirable).
• Ability to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Experience in remote delivery of allied health services is desirable.
• Proficient with MS Office, online meetings (MS Teams) and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide real time practice support and feedback to CSs across Lifeline network.
• Deliver initial debriefs for CSs after difficult or high risk interactions.
• Complete emergency interventions and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Proactively use instant messaging to guide CSs on duty.
• Monitor shifts, cover breaks, coordinate with the team, and report issues.
