Junee Southern Cross is seeking a data‑minded Credit Risk Practitioner to improve credit strategy across originations, portfolio management and collections. You will own diagnostics, design strategies, and drive implementation with cross‑functional teams in a practical, outcome‑oriented manner.

The role focuses on end‑to‑end credit challenges, governance, and continuous improvement using data and modern analytics platforms to strengthen portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit risk, preferably in retail lending.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, Excel, Tableau or similar tools for analysis and performance monitoring.
• Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Ability to translate analysis into practical recommendations balancing customer outcomes, risk appetite and business performance.

Responsibilities

• Define and size the credit problem and opportunities.
• Analyse portfolio and process performance across the lifecycle.
• Recommend credit strategy or rule changes and support implementation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver practical credit improvements.
• Monitor results and optimise strategies over time.
