Job summary

Pampero in Brisbane, QLD is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Head Chef and partners with the culinary team to deliver memorable dishes with the highest standards of quality and presentation.

You will assist in kitchen operations, plan seasonal menus, train staff, manage inventory, and monitor food costs while maintaining a safe, sanitary environment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience in the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute seasonal menus with the Head Chef.
• Assist in daily kitchen operations including prep, cooking and plating.
• Ensure food quality, taste and presentation meet standards.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to follow best practices.
• Manage inventory, orders, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen following health regulations.
• Monitor food costs and assist in controlling expenses.
