Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a Marketing & Communications Officer to develop and implement engaging campaigns that showcase the Tamworth region. You will create content across digital, social, web and traditional channels while keeping the community informed and connected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Marketing or a similar relevant qualification, or significant practical experience in a related field
• Demonstrated experience, typically 3-5 years, in marketing, communications or public relations
• Current Driver Licence and Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining internal and external communication strategies for Council
• Organising and managing public relations events and supporting media opportunities
• Monitoring local media and assisting Council to respond effectively to media commentary
• Creating advertising, campaign materials, website content, digital marketing campaigns and social media communications
• Working with stakeholders and graphic design staff to deliver high‑quality, on‑brand communications and marketing initiatives
