Job summary

Camden Council is seeking a Digital Content Advisor to bring services and priorities to life through engaging, accessible content across websites, social media, video and other digital platforms.

You will collaborate with teams to use analytics and audience insights to continually improve online communication, ensuring content reaches diverse communities and delivers a strong digital experience.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Analyses digital performance data and audience insights to improve content reach.
  • Experience managing website content with CMS and ensuring accessibility and UX best practices.
  • Developing and implementing communication plans with target audiences, messages and channels.
  • Experience creating social media content and digital campaigns for diverse audiences.
  • Scripting and producing video/content for websites and social platforms.

You’ll work across websites, social media,video and other digital platforms to create content that reaches diverseaudiences and delivers a positive digital experience.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketingor a related discipline, and/or demonstrated equivalent experience in digitalcommunications or content production
  • Demonstrated ability toanalyse digital performance data and audience insights to evaluate andcontinuously improve content effectiveness, reach and engagement across digitalplatforms
  • Demonstrated experience managing website and digital platform content usingContent Management Systems (CMS), with a sound understanding of userexperience, digital accessibility, search optimisation and contemporary digitalcontent practices
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication plans andapproaches to support projects, programs and initiatives, including identifyingaudiences, key messages, channels and opportunities for engagement
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering social media content anddigital campaigns that effectively reach and engage diverse audiences acrossmultiple digital channels
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting and developing video and online contentfor websites and social media platforms, tailored to the requirements ofdifferent digital platforms and target audiences
  • Demonstrated ability toanalyse digital performance data and audience insights to evaluate andcontinuously improve content effectiveness, reach and engagement across digitalplatforms
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the abilityto translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible contentfor diverse audiences
  • Valid NSW Driver Licence
  • Knowledge of local government operations, governancerequirements and communication practices, with an understanding of the role ofeffective communication in supporting community engagement, transparency andpublic accountability
  • Experience using Digital Asset Management (DAM), enterprise content managementor similar systems to effectively manage, maintain and improve access todigital content and assets.
